MR. D. L. COCHRAN

Mr. Dock Lewis Cochran, who lived nine miles north of Dallas, Ga., died Tuesday, August 3, and was buried at Harmony Grove, Wednesday at 11 a. m. the Rev. Mr. Warwick, of Powder Springs, officiating.

Mr. Cochran was an honored citizen in his 78th year.  Had been a member of the Methodist Church for over 50 years.  He was a great admirer of Rev. Sammie G. Jones and of his son, Col. R .H. Jones, and his grandson, the Rev. Sam P. Jones, having had the privilege to enjoy the ministry of each.

Mr. Cochran married Miss Sallie Wells and reared a large family.  His wife preceded him to the grave by about 6 years.  He leaves the following members of his family.

Messrs. W. L., B. T. and J. C. Cochran, of Dallas, Ga., Route 3, Mrs. Ada Stansell and Mrs. Etta Marable, of Rome, Ga.; W. C. Cochran, of Taylorsville; Mrs. Lula Womack, Mrs. Viola Turner and Mrs. Tessie Turner, of Dallas.

Mr. Cochran had a long lingering malady and it was thought that at times he would be cured.

He gave full directions about his funeral, having selected his choice of songs, singers, minister and pallbearers.  Arrangements in charge of John W. Jones, of Cartersville.
