Mr. P.D. Casey Passes Tuesday

Adairsville, GA., March 18, 1941

Perry D. Casey, 74, died at the home of his son, Fite Casey, here Tuesday morning following a two weeks' illness. He was a native of Floyd County, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Aycock Casey. He spent several years in Texas where he operated a hotel. After returning to Georgia, he was city marshall here for a time.

Surviving are four sons, Fite Casey of Adairsville, Cliff Casey of Acworth, Pat and Mike Casey of Kingston; three daughters, Mrs. F.M. Smith, of Bartlesville, Okla., Mrs. E. A. Buck oand Mrs. Louis Atkinson of Atlanta; three brothers, Ed Casey of Tuscalo, Texas; Frank Casey of Rome, and Jeff Casey of Adairsville, and sixteen grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held Thursday morning at ten o'clock from the Oothcalooga Baptist Church with the Rev. A. B. Cash officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Veach and Barton in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Joe Newton, Monroe Gillespie, Dudley Bartow, R.L. Sission, Charles Jarrett and Roy Brock.
