Mrs. Minda Carroll Buried, Oak Hill, Monday Afternoon

Mrs. Minda Carroll, of Rome, GA, passed away Sunday morning following a lingering illness. She was 69 years of age.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o’clock from Oak Hill Church, Rydal, with interment in the church yard cemetery. Rev. Will Maulding was the officiating minister.

Pallbearers were: Elihu Abernathy, James Dutton, E. J. Harris, Bob Elrod, and George Elrod with Owen Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Carroll was a native of Forsyth County and her parents were the late James and Ester Carroll Higgins.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Nick Stewart, of White, Floyd Dutton, Rome, J. C. Munn, Atlanta; 10 grand children, 11 great grand children; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Patterson, Milledgeville; Mrs. Marinda Kirby, LaFayette, Mrs. Lula Butler, Rocky Face, Ga.
