The whole community was made sad on Christmas eve day by the death of Miss Fannie Caldwell.  The funeral was conducted by Rev. Mr. Gwaltney, of Rome, on Christmas day at the Presbyterian church.  There was a large crowd present to pay the last tribute of respect to one they loved.
