The funeral of Mrs. LEVI BRANSON was preached at the Methodist Church, by Rev. Dr. Felton.  A large and attentive audience were present.  His text was 1st Thessalonians—15th chapter and 13th verse: “but I would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not even as others which have no hope.”  We are persuaded that it was one of the finest funeral orations that was ever pronounced.  Dr. Felton’s equal as a pulpit orator is rarely ever heard; and he is regarded by all who know him as one of Georgia’s brightest ornaments.
