OBITUARY

Died, on the 15th inst., D. M. BISHOP, aged 45 years.  The deceased moved from Spartanburg District, S. C., to this place in March last.  The immediate cause of his decease was a combined attack of pneumonia and dropsy.  He was formerly attached to the Baptist church but for sometime past has lived out of the church; having backsliden from duty and God.  He gave bright evidences of his return to Jesus before he breathed his last, and took his farewell view of earth and his earthly friends to launch into the Ocean of Eternity, and to appear in the presence of his Maker and Redeemer.  He expressed himself firm in the faith and died triumphant. He has left a disconsolate wife and several children to mourn his departure.—Requiescat in peace.
