Death of Mr. C. R. Bilbro

Mr. C. R. Bilbro died in Rome on Monday evening last. He had been in declining health for some time but his last illness was only of about a week’s duration. He was the son-in-law of Col. R. H. Jones, of this city, and the remains were brought to this city and interred in the cemetery beside those of his little child, the funeral occurring at 2 o’clock on yesterday evening.

Mr. Bilbro was originally from Tuskegee, Ala. He had lived in Atlanta and for awhile he held a position with Mr. T. R. Jones, in this city, in the insurance business. Not long since he moved to Rome where he has been in the insurance and brokerage business.

Mr. Bilbro was a quiet man of good business habits and those who knew him best say he had a genial and kind hearted nature which association always brought out and impressed those who came in contact with him.
