Death of Mrs. Sarah Best.

Mrs. Sarah Best died at her home in Cartersville on the 12th inst., and was buried the day following.

She was the wife of Dr. J. F. Best, and daughter of Col. J. W. Harris, Sr.  Most of her life was spent in our city, where she leaves many relatives and friends to mourn her loss.  She had been long a member of the Methodist Church; and her religious life was marked by deep feeling and true devotion.  As a daughter, she was loving and kind; as a wife, she was all that piety and prayer could make her; while as a mother she was self-sacrificing and true.  On the morning of the 17th of December last she received her only son and his happy bride at her pleasant home, with many friends.  Her happiness seemed then to be consummated and life was full of hope.  Now she sleeps beside that mother who first pointed her to the “Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.”  To the aged father, to the husband, to the son, and to the many relatives and friends, we extend our sympathy.
