Kingston.

Kingston has been sorely afflicted during the present summer.  Death has visited six families and claimed a victim in each.  Last week it was Captain A. Y. Sheats, one of our oldest and most highly respected citizens, and Tuesday morning of this week Mr. Jason Bailey died at his home after a long illness.  Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife and several children, among whom are, W. Y. Bailey, of Cartersville, Watt Bailey, of Rome, Irvin Bailey, of Kingston, Lawton Bailey and Whitfield Bailey, and Mesdames Wood of Cartersville, Jackson and Lowrey, of Euharlee. He was justice of the peace here and for years has been secretary and treasurer of Kingston lodge F. and A. M.  Also a member of the Baptist Church.  The funeral will take place Thursday at three p. m. at Kingston cemetery, under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge.
