Death of Mrs. Bacon.
The Sad Event Occurred Last Tuesday Evening.

Mrs. T. J. Bacon, the mother of Mrs. J. A. Baker, of this city, died at the home of the latter, on West Main street, last Tuesday evening.

Mrs. Bacon has been feeble for quite a while and several days previous to our demise it was certain that death was inevitable.  In her death her children have lost a devoted mother and her church, the Baptist, a good and true Christian.

The remains accompanied by her children, Mrs. Fulton, of McDuffie county, Mr. Merriwether Bacon and wife, Sumter county, Mr. Sumner Bacon, of Atlanta, and Mrs. J. A. Baker, of this city, were carried to the home of her younger days at LaGrange, Ga., for interment.

In their great grief the family of the deceased have the sympathy of all.
