A Sad Death.
Mrs. Dr. Arnold, nee Miss Fannie Howard, Passes Away.

One of the saddest deaths that it has been our melancholy duty to chronicle is that of Mrs. Dr. Thos. L. Arnold which occurred on last Friday night at her home in the county, about twelve miles from Cartersville. Mrs. Arnold was formerly Miss Fannie Howard, of this city. Less than a year ago she was married to Dr. T. L. Arnold, one of our county’s prominent young physicians.

In Cartersville she was well known and every one who knew her was her friend. She had two sisters residing here, Mrs. W. C. Edwards and Mrs. B. R. Mountcastle.

Her remains were brought to Cartersville and on Sunday afternoon the funeral took place from the Methodist church, of which she was a member. Rev. H. J. Ellis conducted a very impressive service and a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends were in attendance. Mrs. Arnold was a devoted Christian and her amiable and gentle disposition won for her the love of all her acquaintances. When her sweet spirit passed from this earth it entered a glorious Heaven of the blest. To those who are bereaved the heartfelt sympathy of all their friends is extended.
