A Distinguished General Col. and Mrs. C. P. Ball and Mr. Will Allen Called to the Deathbed of Gen. Allen Mr. Will S. Allen, the affable cashier of the East and West railroad, accompanied by Col. And Mrs. C. P. Ball, left Wednesday evening of last week for Sheffield, Ala., to be at the deathbed of his beloved father, that distinguished Alabamian, Gen. W. W. Allen. Gen. Allen was a brother-in-law of Col. Ball’s. [Long article continues, recounted details of Confederate service. Gen Allen died at the home of his son, Capt. J. V. Allen, and was buried in Florence, Alabama.] |
