Death of Mr. John C. Allen.

This gentleman, formerly of Cartersville, but more recently of Rome, died at Talking Rock factory, Pickens county, on Tuesday evening at 6 o’clock, and his remains were brought to this city for internment. He was a half-brother to our county-man, Dr. F. S. Stephens. The deceased was a generous, upright citizen, and was liked by all who came in contact with him, and was 48 years of age. We extend to his grief-stricken relatives our sincere sympathies.
