Homicide.

Jno. Alford and Andrew Thomas, neighbor, attended the militia district election at Euharlee, in this county, on Saturday last and were friendly during the day. They started home together about 4 o’clock, still on friendly terms. About a mile and a half from Euharlee they had a difficulty, when Thomas drew a pistol and shot Alford first between the eyes and then in the right breast. Alford lived about three minutes, walking into the house where the difficulty occurred after being shot. Thomas was lodged in the county jail on Sunday. He was arrested without making any resistance to the officer. We would give further particulars but for the conflicting statements concerning the affair.
