Mr. Alfred Wikle, a former citizen of this place, arrived here by the Rome train on the 24th from Kings Grove, Ala., in a dying condition.  He is still alive but seems to be sinking.  He says God, for Christ’s sake, has pardoned his sins and he is ready and willing to depart when the summons comes.  His constant theme is the subject of religion.  He has been a very wicked man.
