Mrs. Penn, a well known lady who lives near this place, is not expected to live. Daily and hourly her husband, children and many friends watch anxiously around her bedside, fearing, yet expecting and almost knowing her every breath will be her last. So it is, our dear old mothers and fathers are leaving us – “one by one they will cross the river.” A little while and they will all be gone, and we must soon fill their places. |
