Asa Powell, of this county, is 83 years old.  He is remarkable stout for his age, and is more active than many men of forty.  Mr. Powell is very peculiar in his habits; prefers to live by himself, doing his own cooking, washing, etc.  He makes corn, wheat, meat and potatoes to sell every year, and draws a pension of $96 a year for services in the war of 1812, so says the Cedartown Express.
