Two Convicts Shot at Bartow Iron Works.

On Monday morning last about sunrise two colored convicts attempted to escape from the guard at the Bartow iron works in this county, when they were fired upon and one of them instantly killed.  The other was seriously wounded.  The wounded one made his escape, but was recaptured in about two hours.  He will probably recover from his wound.
