We hope that our Town Commissioners will, at an early day, enlarge the area of the Grave-Yard, and let every family have a space to bury their loved ones, should death call them hence.—A well laid out Cemetery and a desire to beautify the last resting place of the dead, reflect a higher grade of civilization in a community, than grounds left to grow up in briars, weeds, and tangles shrubbery. ******************** Now that a site for our Cemetery has been selected, it occurs to us that Erwin street should be lengthened, so as to make a convenient walk for our citizens when they desire to visit the sacred spot that holds the ashes of their departed ones. |
