Mr. J. W. Vaughan is all smiles over the arrival of a new boy at his home.

A rollicking new boy is in evidence at the home of Judge Hendricks, and the judge is happy.

Mr. F. L. Lowery, of Tyler, Tex., is on a visit to relations in Bartow.  Mr. Lowery was among the pioneer settlers of Bartow, having come here in 1832.  He left for the west forty years ago.  He put up and operated the first cotton gin ever run in the county.  He is well remembered by many of our older citizens who enjoy meeting him on his visits several years apart back to his old home.
