“Brief Local Items.”

Mr. W. S. Walker, of St. Jo, Tex., with his wife, has been spending a few days with Capt. and Mrs. J. L. Neel. Mr. Walker is a brother-in-law of Capt. Neel, they having married sisters, daughters of the late Jesse Swain, of Gordon county. Mr. Walker went from Gordon county where he was recognized as one of the county’s foremost citizens, to Texas, about twenty years ago and it is a treat to him to get back at least as often as every five years and enjoy a while among his Georgia relations and many old friends. He came out for the Confederate reunion and is now preparing to return to his Texas home.
