An Awful Tragedy Occurred Near Aleculsey, in Murray County. An excerpt: “Kerr, the prisoner now awaiting justice in the Murray county jail, is a Tennessean, and had come down into the upper edge of Murray together with Henry Dixon, the murdered man, and both were engaged threshing wheat near Clayton’s store….Kerr was a groom of only a few hours when he committed the deed, having married the same day about noon.” |
