Coming This Way.—Are those being run out by the ills of a colder climate.—thrifty German settlers that have located near Emerson—more will probably follow them soon, attracted by our advantages. [Long article—an excerpt: ‘The head of this interesting family is Mr. J. Leichty, who was born in Germany but, for forty years has lived in America. He came here direct from Dickson County, Tenn., where he had been living for a number of years, but before moving to Tennessee had lived in one of the states further north. He brings with him his family of six children. He has rented for this year the C. M. Jones farm, near Emerson.” |
