“Affairs of the City”
At the last term of Bartow superior court, an order was granted for the adoption of Fanny May Kirk, by her grandfather, J. A. Johnson, and her name changed to Fanny May Johnson. Mrs. J. A. Kennedy has just returned home after being called to the deathbed and funeral of her sister, Mrs. W. E. Kennedy, at Cohuttah, Ga. The death was a peculiarly sad one, Mrs. Kennedy being yet quite a young woman, and leaving two bright, interesting little children, who are deprived of a mother’s tender love and care.
