“Over the County”

Corbin

Mrs. Sallie Helms returned home last week. She was called to the bedside of her son, Mr. John Helms, who died at his home in Seney.

Mrs. Sallie Helms is one of the oldest ladies in our community. She is now 78 years old. She was married when young and raised a family of 11 children, and attended the funeral of the last one on January 1. Her husband has been dead several years. Her house was once burned, with all its contents. Her life has been one of trouble. She is now making her home with her granddaughter, Mrs. J. A. Chitwood.
